BACK TO PUNK FLYERS

Fellow artist Gary Panter was also very much involved in the early punk scene of Los Angeles. His bizarre graphic style graced a number of punk flyers and the example shown at left became Panter's most famous image. The drawing was designed especially for the Techno-punk band, the SCREAMERS, one of the most innovative bands in LA punk history. The band used synthesizers instead of guitars and their highly theatrical and emotive performances made them a cult favorite.
