Art and the Birthplace of the Bomb

A group exhibition of forty American artists against the atomic bomb opens in New Mexico’s AC2 Gallery on August 6th, 2005 (Hiroshima Day). Titled the Peace Art Show: Art From the Birthplace of the Atomic Bomb, the exhibit explores the first military use of the atomic bomb, as well as the social repercussions on America sixty years into the atomic age. A specific focus of the exhibit is the impact the development of the bomb had on New Mexico, the birthplace of the atomic bomb. The exhibit opens on August 6th, 2005, and runs until September 4th, 2005. The Opening Reception will be on Saturday, Aug., 6th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The gallery is located at 301 Mountain Rd.
