The strategy of the republicans was to first win the war against fascism before addressing the need for radical social change, while most anarchists felt that pushing for total social revolution was the best way to defeat the forces of fascism.

The slogans at the bottom of the poster read, "For a Free Humanity! For Anarchy!"
