Artist's statement:

A full color reproduction of this image was printed in the pages of the Los Angeles Times Calendar Magazine when the paper covered my solo exhibit, "Mark Vallen: More Than A Witness," at West Hollywood's A Shenere Velt Gallery in 2004.

After Hurricane Katrina slammed into the U.S. Gulf Coast on Aug. 29, 2005, special edition Giclée prints of this painting were sold to raise funds for hurricane victims.
