Artist's statement:

"Ungovernable is the portrayal of 21st century dissident engaged in an act of public protest. I created my painting on linen canvas mounted on masonite.

I witnessed innumerable bohemian characters like the one depicted in my painting, as they marched and picketed in the streets of Los Angeles from the 1980s to the mid-2000s. My oil painting is a unique time-capsule that documents that period."
