PHOTOS
The
press described the police attack against this crowd as the "start of
the day's protests." In reality, some 15,000 people had marched
earlier in the day to call for an end to corporate greed. The concert
came at the end of that huge march. The media ignored the non-violent
mass march and instead focused on what they called a "Rock concert
being broken up by police."
There
was much anxiety in the concert crowd as the entire area was surrounded
by riot police... many felt an attack was imminent, and so gas masks
were seen everywhere.
