Despite the fact that tens of thousands had participated in protests during the week of the Democratic National Convention, the dissidents were given little if any serious mention in the mainstream press. However, alternative media like L.A's Independent Media Center did an excellent job of disseminating news reports of daily events. As Jello Biafra once said... "Don't hate the media, become the media."
