This
is the first album by MDC. Terrific hardcore with titles like
"John Wayne was a Nazi", and "Multi Death Corporations".

BACK
TO PUNK ALBUM COVERS
MDC
were an early 80's band from San Francisco. Their
first album (shown at right), was titled Blue by
Day, White by Night, a reference to a policeman's
uniform and the donning of Ku Klux Klan robes. The
band was fond of changing it's name on a routine basis.
With this original album they were known as Millions
of Dead Cops (MDC), but later on went by the monikers
Millions of Dead Children, Multi-Death Corporation,
and Millions of Damned Christians.

Artist
Carlos Lowry did the cover based on his reworking
of a mural created by Raul Valdez. Raul's mural appeared
at the Centro Chicano in Austin Texas. MDC
were highly political and their lyrics attacked corporate
control, militarism, sexism, homophobia, and racism. The
band is still recording and touring today and have just
released a new CD... and yes, they are as uncompromising
as ever.
